Providing 50% affordable homes on a challenging site adjacent to Croydon's Old Town
Wandle Road is one of a number of schemes commissioned by Brick by Brick Croydon Ltd, the borough's housing company tasked with increasing housing supply, and currently working on around 2000 new homes on multiple sites throughout the borough.
The proposals for a carpark site which has remained undeveloped since construction of the A232 flyover, will deliver 128 new homes, along with 815 sqm of flexible commercial and office space and new public realm improvements, whilst safeguarding adjacent sites allocated for future development of an energy centre and bus stand.
Planning permission was granted by LB Croydon Planning Committee on the 7th June 2018.
