Farrimond House
Gascoigne East Estate Regeneration net zero Carbon in Use affordable housing
Farrimond House, is part of the wider regeneration of the Gascoigne East estate for Be First, delivering 124 high quality, affordable, predominantly family homes. The scheme takes the form of a perimeter block arranged around a communal courtyard, with stepped heights responding to the surrounding context and creating a strong sense of place.
As Be First’s first net zero carbon in use development, the building is designed with a fabric-first approach, incorporating 100% dual aspect homes, passive ventilation and photovoltaics to minimise energy demand.
Highly commended at the 2024 Brick Awards, Farrimond House demonstrates how sustainable design and careful planning can support both environmental performance and community life within a major estate regeneration.
